What are private features?

Private features typically solve a very specific problem for a single customer, and as such are not applicable or generally useful enough to most other customers.

Private features are disabled by default so that they don’t interfere with the standard use model of the product as used by other customers. They are typically enabled using a notes.ini parameter or Windows registry setting.

While such private features are specific to individual customers, they are included in the standard product (instead of one-off customer-specific builds) and are therefore fully supported and maintained in future versions of the product.

If you have a specific feature request which isn’t generally applicable as an overall new feature, please feel free to contact Instant Technologies to discuss developing a private feature for you, we’re happy to help!
