Troubleshooting installation errorsThe IMtegrity installer attempts to automatically configure your system to be fully operational out of the box without any manual configuration from your side, see Automatic default configuration. If during any of the these steps an error occurs, a dialogbox with a corresponding error message will be shown during the installation process. Possible error messages and solutions:"Unable to create log folder" The installer was unable to create default log folder/subdirectory inside the installation folder. To fix this error, manually create a new folder anywhere in your filesystem, then start the IMtegrity configuration tool, click on "Log" and set the chat transcript log folder to the new location. "ActiveX component can't create object" or "Unable to initialize Lotus Domino COM session" The installer was unable to initialize the Lotus Domino COM objects. This can happen if there is a version mis-match of multiple Lotus Domino and/or Lotus Notes installations on the same server, or the COM services are not correctly registered. To fix this error, you need to manually register the COM services:
After the COM services have been correctly registered, re-run the IMtegrity Installer. "Unable to create FileSystemObject" If the installer finds that the Microsoft Scripting Environment of your
server is lower then version 5.6, it'll attempt to upgrade it to version
5.6 or later. If this upgrade fails, some required services by IMtegrity are
not available and consequently this error occurs. "Unable to obtain Lotus Domino path from registry key" The installer relies on the registry to find the correct path to the IBM Lotus Domino / Sametime server installation. These registry keys are usually created by the Lotus Domino / Sametime installation software. If these keys are missing, re-install Lotus Domino / Sametime, then re-run the IMtegrity installer. "Unable to initialize Lotus Domino: error text" The installer was unable to initialize the Lotus Notes / Domino API
(specifically, the NotesInit() API function). All other error messages not listed above: Please contact IMtegrity product support. |
